Episode 13 · Guest Profile
Chance Mitchell.
Founder, VideoBoost
Filmmaker + Creative Director
Chance Mitchell built his career behind the camera by showing up early, staying consistent, and earning trust one relationship at a time.
His Story
The blueprint.
Chance began filming basketball at 13 with an iPod Touch. He did not begin with a proven path. He built one through consistency, relationships, and the willingness to keep going before anyone could see where it would lead.
What started in Huntsville grew into VideoBoost and a career across basketball media, athlete storytelling, and creative direction. His work eventually carried him to Los Angeles, but the foundation remained the same: consistency, relationships, and trust.
Chance’s story is not only about access or who he has worked with. It is about learning how to grow without losing the people, values, and place that helped him begin.
The Work
He builds the story behind the moment.
VideoBoost
Chance founded VideoBoost as a teenager and developed it from local basketball coverage into a creative platform built around storytelling and longevity.
Basketball Media
His work across basketball culture has allowed him to document athletes, events, training, and the moments that shape the game outside of competition.
Creative Direction
Through his work with ProSpire and other projects, Chance helps build visual stories around player development, brands, and the people doing the work behind the scenes.
Access may open the door. Trust is what keeps it open.
